Where to start with my '08 Evo X.

I know there's a million threads related to this out there but I'm just trying to find out specifically where I should start with mods. I just bought a 2008 Evo X with 50k on it (kinda high on miles but it's clean, well taken care of, and I got a real good price on it). It's completely stock except for an Agency Power CAI and a junk BOV. I just want to know where I should start with mods. I am for sure thinking exhaust but not sure on what one yet, then a tune. But then idk, that's where I need some help.

Turbo back Exhaust and a tune is a great start.

Any suggestions on TBE? I've looked and listened to a bunch of them but for everyone I like, there's a bunch of people saying they've had problems with it. And do you think I should ditch the BOV?

Yes, replace the BOV with the stock diverter valve. Exhaust selection is a highly personal affair. I suggest you meet up with some Evo drivers and listen to their exhausts to find a tone you like.

Do you want a single exit or dual exhaust?

I agree I would make sure any maintenance is completed and then do mods. I would ditch that crappy blow off valve ASAP and switch back to the stock one. I would do a tune too because on the 08s the tune is super rich from the factory and it will help ALOT. The sooner the better.

I actually like a single exit exhaust because I think it makes the rear look more aggressive. I have an Ark Performance exhaust with a test pipe. If you want a dual exhaust I would go either ETS Quiet exhaust, Buschur Crossflow exhaust, or Cobb exhaust. All are high quality and have a great tone. The magnaflow exhaust is great for a budget exhaust.

I am leaning towards dual. IMO the dual exit works better with the diffuser and rear end of the car, also I don't want the opening in the diffuser where the other tip used to be. But does anyone know a good site to pick of the stock DV?

Hey, where are you located in Minnesota? Did you buy your Evo from anyone in Minnesota? Your car looks familiar.

Go stock. No need for an upgraded DV at your current setup.

I have a Buschur catback if intersted. It is this one: https://secure.buschurracing.com/cat...oducts_id=1253

It has 9k miles on it. If interested, shoot me an offer and I will see what I can do for you. Thank you.
