yes its the rexspeed one, but the new full pillar replacement is on its way from DSG

I really want one of these A-pillar mounts, but I have this fear of the airbag launching it at me if something were to happen.

you mean during the install? it wont go off. If you get the rexspeed one u dont even need to take the stock pillar off. If you get the dsg one its easy to swap them around. Theres less then a .00001% chance it will go off.

if you are talking about it going off while driving and the gauges hit u in the face, the pillars have a little hook to prevent them from flying at you.

I was talking about during an accident. This is the first I've read about them preventing the gauges from flying off which seems to be most peoples biggest fear in this type of gauge pod.

Would suck if it came flying at you but if you pull your oem pillar off, there is a hook that is hooked into the frame that prevents it from coming at you when the airbags deplay. The gauges will only pop out about 2-3 inches.
