91 or 93 octane

Sorry for the dumb question. Do you put premium or super unleaded in? Does it matter?

Not every gas station has both, kroger has 93 octance plus the discount if you have the kroger plus card. 25 bucks filled mine up with a little over half a tank.

Every gas station in my city has both. And 93 octane isnt much more expensive than 91. I just read the posts and everyone talks about using 91 octane. I know it is a dumb question but 93 octane is ok? Is it better to put 93 octane in?

I don't think there is much of a difference.

93 is probably a little safer from knocking/detonation... but you should be safe running 91 because the OEM tune is likely based on 91...

If you have access to 93 dont even look at gas stations with 91.

the Canadian mitsu website says "93" minimum... same with the ralliart.. i find the husky 94 around here is better than the shell 91. it's also been giving the local dyno's problems (91 i mean) 94 husky seems to be giving the better numbers with more stability.

Upstate NY is the same. We have access to 87, 89, 91 & 93. Put the highest octane available in your X.
