i asked about the snapshot thing since i have progressive and it has to be on the car for like 6 months and has to be driven every so often. Also even thou they say it cant effect you and raise the your cost i was told it actually can and will if u drive like an ***. And you also cannot try to put it on a different car since it knows which car it is on. I decided not to do it after talking to the agent for a while about it. i dont remember everything i was told since it was about 3 months ago, just remember it made me not want to do it.

Geico reduced my Evo rates when I purchased a beater to drive to work. AllState refused to reduce rates, thats why I switched.

Hey guys. Chiming back in. Anyways, yes the snapshot is not a forever ordeal. It's a few months and then you send it back. You can call and opt out at anytime, but if your ride stored most or all the time, you'll get the max of 30% off. Just plan in advance before storing it, not when your about to take it out. Progressive for me is cheaper than geico, AAA, 21st, nationwide, and a few other ones I took a quote for. Anyways I know I barely drive my Evo, but I'm a proud owner, and love every mile I drive on it. In comparison, I put about 3 to 5k miles a month on my daily. It's just my enjoy the day, pick up that new girl I met vehicle and yes quiet instead of quite...I'm on my Android lol.

I was told by the support agent that it docks you for stops at more than 7 MPH reduction in speed per second. With that in mind, knowing my wife's grandma-like driving habits and the slow traffic she's in both ways to and from work I figured we were going to get an even better deal than we already get. The initial report flagged so many fast stops you'd think she was on a road course. I didn't believe it for a second. I yanked it out and sent it back immediately before they tried some way around increasing our currently low rates.
