Synapse DV [installation]

So i'm thinking of picking up a synapse dv, but am a little hesitant based on some reviews. I've read that the only bad thing really, is that it might flutter a lot, or just not work at all properly. on the other hand, ive read that it works great and holds boost nice, and a bunch of other good stuff.

Also, i'm a noob as to how it's supposed to be installed. apparently it had push/pull mode? idk what that means. and also, on the top of the dv, there are three vacuum/boost lines instead of just one (like on stock)... WHY? thats whats what confuses me.

any insight is appreciated

thanks

"Another interesting feature of the DV is that it is reversible and can be installed in a push or pull position, Push meaning that boost pressure helps push the valve open and Pull meaning that boost pressure helps hold the valve shut. In either position the valve will not leak until over 60 psi of boost pressure is applied but push or pull has an effect on how quickly the valve closes which changes the tuning characteristics. For instance, when the valve is in pull, it is the fastest closing. This is good for throttle response and part throttle driveability. However push works better with some tuning if you are trying to tune out some compressor surge, your car has a MAF and is prone to stalling on throttle lift or if you are running a car with a MAF and are venting to atmosphere."

so we'd typically want to run on push mode, correct? since we're running with a maf

you probably want to run pull...

as the article stated, push is better (with tuning) for these cases:
1) you are trying to tune out some compressor surge
2) your car has a MAF and is prone to stalling on throttle lift
3) you are running a car with a MAF and are venting to atmosphere

in either case, you should tune after installation.
