I have the rexspeed single cf gauge pod. Fitment wasn't too bad. I used 3M tape (not the cheap stuff that came with it) to hold it in place and and two black screws in some key locations to def secure it and keep it flush.

Here's a pic of the Evo series. Sorry for the crappy cell pic but you get the idea. As you can see visibility isn't too bad in the daylight. Looks even better at night, it matches the color of the radio and center info lighting pretty well too.

That's kind of why I was leaning toward the evo gauge. It just seems quick and easy to read wih the digital read out. Even if it is a little fast and furious haha. As long as it is accurate is most important.

It's actually the band strap guage holder from prosport
http://prosportgauges.com/52mm_mountingstrap.aspx

The mounting platform actually bends/molds to the contours of the steering column (just have to play with it). In the pic it shows a black color but mine came in a grey color. I actually spray painted it black to match the steering column. I would suggest molding it to the steering column first then painting (if it doesn't come to you in black of course). All in all not bad for 11 bux.

My boost gauge lasted about a year before the sensor crapped out.
I replaced it with a DEFI racer gauge. A million times better than the prosport. The lighting on the gauge is much more crisp. The DEFI quality is a lot better than the prosport. IMO the extra cost for the defi gauge is worth it.

I actually like the placement of that and for only 11 that is pretty cheap. Do you have the red and white or red/blue?

I tested the boost and oil pressure. 1-2% error. Good enough. That's stAndard for gauges.

I have the red/blue but I only have it wired to show red at all times.

BTW, for anyone with questions I checked them using a calibrated fluke standard. I have mine wired up to interrupt the ground off a toggle switch in my ashtray. I can run red blue or off at any time

I also like that mounting point. Is there a reason why you didn't mount the other gauge on the column as well?

I already had the boost gauge on the a pillar so decided to just leave it. I may do one more gauge (oil pressure) but haven't decided if I'll mount on the steering column or in the cubby by the ashtray since it's not something I really need to constantly monitor...

Good to know they are pretty accurate, thanks for the info. Also, details on the toggle switch...I would like to try this! Exactly how is this all wired?

I had some serious fitment issues with my Rexpeed gauge pod (dual gauge pod) when I first bought it. I ended up finding that the gauge wiring was the problem, so I took the OEM pillar and cut holes in it so that I could run the wiring from the gauges in the Rexpeed piece through the OEM pillar. I cut the holes large enough so that I could access the back of the gauges with no issues. I then used polyurethane sealant to permanently bond the Rexpeed pod to the OEM pillar. Now the fitment is like OEM, and all airbag functions remain intact. Took some time and patience, but the end result is excellent.
