I would've done it right then and there! I guess it would have depended on the interest rates etc etc...

You might miss the SST when you have the 5 speed. I'm not sure if I would do it. Depends on a number of things:

-Do you have negative equity?
-Is it $31k even. Or more $31,999
-How much after tt&l and those wonderful dealer fees? $33k-$34k?

Its all up to you. But it would be hard for me to add on $6k plus debt for the practically the same car. Just my opinion on it

Update!! The 2011 gsr they had didnt have the projector headlights. It had the ugly regular lancer lights. That was a deal breaker so they said if the hid projector headlights on my 2010 x fit the 2011, they would swap the lights for free with no additional charges.

Anyways, tommo, the finance manager will tell me the interest rates. It was 9:30 pm so he would do it tommo.

No negative equity. The equity is $3400 that will be subtracted to the price.

Car is $32,500.

$1000 rebate
$500 loyalty

Price of vehicle= $31,000
Trade in Price= $27,500

$32,500 - $27,500= $5,000

$5,000 x 7% NJ tax= $350 (tax)

I have to pay documentation, tire tax ($7.50)

Total finance- $28,600

Wow. That must be the only dealership in the nation that doesnt charge you all kinds of "fees" on the purchase. If your tt&l and dealer "fees" only come out to $357.50, I say go for it. It doesnt look like your really loosing too much.

Is Mitsu offering a customer loyalty rebate on the Evo's right now? I thought they didnt offer the customer loyalty rebates on the Evo's?

At first, I would have done it immediately. But since it doesn't even have the SS package, I wouldn't do it. I don't think I would ever buy another car without HIDs or atleast projectors. And I hate it when people but HIDs in regular headlights. The projector headlights will fit, but the bulbs won't. You would have to do a total swap to get the HIDs in the car, meaning, headlights, wiring, ballasts, and even then, it prolly wouldn't work correctly since the DRLs operate different in the SS packaged Evos.

If you do trade it in, I say order some eBay headlights. They are the projector ones and you can buy a HID conversion kit to use with them. That would come to like 400 bucks and you would have the HIDs again.

No SSS?

You can put in the Headlamps at a later time... but you cannot slap in the FAST Key system on a non-SSS Evo...

27,500 is a fair price IMO as a dealer trade in.

I would never give up the superior transmission for the "more fun" transmission though.
