I installed my TWM bushings about a week ago. i got all 3 of them the cable bushings transmission arm bushing and shifter base. Needless to say my arm hurts so bad from shifting it because it is beyond the point of being tight. i drove it for 4 hours today and i couldnt put it in 5th gear because it was so difficult twords the end. Has anyone had a problem like this with just the bushings?

take the cable bushings and transmission arm bushings back out. The pin the bushing slides onto has to be sanded down pretty good. This same thing happend to me. I had to use both arms just to move my stick from side to side and i couldnt get into 5th. I called TWM and they said both of the pins have to be sanded down pretty good. I sanded it down and put a little bit of grease in there and it shifts like butter.

I have them all installed. Just add grease to the ones under the hood.

No. The Works ones are direct fit and buttery smooth.

If thats the case, im going with works. Last thing i want to do is have to alter something to make it work better.

I had metal shifter bushings paired with Works bushings everywhere else. I liked the sound of money every time I shifted. When I installed all Works bushings on my buddy's car it felt amazing and I changed mine.

I might do twm short shifter with works bushings. I hear nothing but good things. I like the twm ss becuase of the cage setup they came up with. They said that only twm ss works with their cage.

You dont 'alter' it at all. you slightly sand the posts down to take off some of the old grease/buildup off of them. It takes all of 5 seconds. Take them off, sand the posts, apply grease, slide the bushings on effortlessly.

I've heard of this problem numerous times from the TWM bushings. I recommend the WORKS bushings with AMS gate selector pivot bushing because they install easily and work correctly from the get-go. I also always install all shifter bushings with a light coating of grease.
