Thanks for the update, glad to here that the tone only change a little. That tells me alot about the quality of packing material they use. Some brand sound good out of the box, but down the line the sound and performance changes. To bad ARK Design does not offer a DP that matches the exhaust.

I spoke to them awhile back when they had a US number, they tried to do a 3.5 dual but something about getting the correct flow of the pipe to muffler was holding them back. Do you have a set up to support a flow 3.5" System?

No, I would think it would kinda taper from the cat. I didnt know you would need to have it set up to do that.

I thought I read on a thread about their exhaust that the 3in exhaust mates up to a stock cat outlet which is what 2.5in or 2.75 can't remember and that their 3.5in is a 3in outlet that expands to 3.5in. I wonder if that's true about their 3.5in single and if that 3.0in outlet mates up with the stock cat without modification or some sort of adapter.

ARK is using the same 3.5" B-pipe for the dual and single outlet exhaust. So, the 3.5" single will mate up to the stock cat, but the pipe may start out as a 2.5 or 2.75 and flare to 3.5" Which is OK till you need it to flow more, but when that time comes you just have to mod the flange and your ready to go. That will save some cash from having to pay for a new 3.5" exhaust.

zozek281 - can you take pictures of your B-pipe were the flange meets the cat?

Intersting so its stock flange attachment and then it flares out even on the 3.5in. Great for the price but at that point I just might get something that's true 3in and do it right once.

I'm leaning toward a custom single by Road Race Engineering. The ARK isn't bad (and I may get one depending on the budget) but for some reason around here they dont' like to do flange work at most muffler shops.
All they want to do is cut and weld or fab something from scratch. When you mention flanges and modifications involving them prices start to skyrocket... so far 5 out of 5 shops I've visited have been that way.

I don't get it which part are you pointing at?!?

Ok well BOO I FAIL.... looked for it this thing is pretty much sold out since the company quit doing business. Going the Road Race Engineering custom route.

Still though this was an awesome and cheap alternative for those looking to stay with a stock turbo and not running much power on their cars.

That flange circle connects to the outlet side of the stock cat. Have to run a smaller pipe and flange for it to seal correctly.

For your custom exhaust what size flange and piping size is RR going to use? Or is this going to be custom DP and Exhaust?

Sorry man I was kidding about the arrow and the fact it was obviously clear what you were trying to explain

My understanding is that RRE 's exhaust is 3in straight through so the flange does not taper to stock size.
The hole will be bigger then the stock cat piping but the flange physical size does not change so basically your 2.5in will dump into a 3in hole (instead of tapering) but the flange will mate up correctly and sit flush.

Not an optimal solution until I get the part from the turbo to match but if you use the supplied gasket it should still seal correctly.

An exhaust with a stock 2.5in opening expanding to 3in is really for people who will not upgrade their dp and cat. I like to have the option to do that in the future without having to hack my exhaust or get another one plus RREs single stealth has the exact sound I'm looking for.

Post pictures when you can, and the cost of the exhaust?
