UICP came off while driving
Got my intercooler replaced after hitting a raccoon 1 month ago and apparently the mech didn't know how to tighten a clamp. 100 deg day and the UICP fell off at around 3k rpm 45 mph. heard a whine, pulled off and reattached. Should I be worried about any damage?

You'll be fine. If you still have worm clamps I suggest upgrading to t bolt clamps. They also come super loose from the factory. When changing the clamps on mine, I could hand loosen them with a socket. Although they do come from the factory with some kind of glue because it was really difficult to remove the pipe after the clamp was off.

It will be fine, my licp popped off at like 6000 rpm in 3rd gear and I thought I blew my motor. Once I realized it was just the licp I tightened it back up and it was as good as new.

After getting the fuel rail bracket recall done the mechanic at Mitsubishi didn't put my UICP on tight enough. Driving home, decided to wot 3rd gear and bamb I hear I loud "ting" like noise. Jaw dropped... thought I put a hole in a piston or blew a rod through the block... turns out it just hit the metal liner under the hood...

Thanks for the replies. I about s*** my pants too when it happened. Thought for sure I blew something. Had my kids (3 and 5) with me too just to add to it.
I hate taking my car in to get work done but with a $100 comprehensive deductible I'm thinking "sure... replace the intercooler, radiator A/C condenser and what ever else you want AAA to pay for". Then I get the car back and the 1st thing I do is check the mileage to see if they took for joy ride.
