SE or MR

Wondering about sound dampening, does the SE have the same sound dampening in the body as the MR? What other factors should I think about? Making the decision today. It's for the wife. RR 08 MR or WW 10 SE? What would you do?

I have no clue.. All i know is that when i bought mine i test drove them both and they both sounded the same. while driving. they were Both Loud like 70 dbl of road noise

My old volvo i'm only guessing here but was probbaly closer to 40-50dbl doing 100km/hr

If that's your deciding factor.. i really dont know how your going to make your decision.. They both drive great. the sst trans is easier for stop and go traffic situations and the manual is just plain more fun + cheaper when you start to mod your car.

2010 se. You still have warranty left. If the sst goes bad it's an expensive repair.

Well I decided to go with the MR. The car will not likely be modded as it will be the wife's car. Maybe a tune and a test pipe. Financially and convenience factors say go with the MR. 7 hour round trip for the MR 11 hours for the SE. I like the MR wheels better also slightly more features on the MR not sure if the bilsteins came on the SE but I assume not. I already have a GSR that I drive but the wife cannot drive a manual. She will baby the car mostly so I'd assume the sst will probably last as long as we keep the car with proper maintenance. Only 20k mi on the clock on a 2008 MR is pretty low.
Car list value on the MR is better.

From what I've read..
The SE has the same suspension, transmission, and rear diffuser as MR.
It doesn't have the aluminum hood and fenders though.
It's really supposed to be in the middle of a GSR and MR.

I love my SE and am glad it's 1 of 340.

the SE has the bilsteins which the GSRs do not. the SE also have the heated fabric seats instead of leather along with other features. as already stated it is the cross between GSR and MR taking the best features from both.

.
Yes, it does. Plus aluminum roof since it does not have a sunroof.

SE has Bilsteins and split front rotors like the MR but not the BBS forged rims. MR has leather and big wing and probably the Fosgate sound. SE has bluetooth and seat heaters. SE also has zenons.
