First mods to 2012 MR?

What should be some of the first modifications to a MR in your opinion? Will modding potentially kill the sell value of the car if I ever consider it in the future? I definitely want a bigger Intake and BOV as they seem like the cheapest initial mods.

2012 Evo ? I don't see why you would want to mod it (at least mods that will void the warranty). In my opinion I would do light mods (lowering springs/coilovers and MAYBE an ECU flash) but other than that, I would just enjoy the car for awhile before doing lots of performance mods.
Personally, I don't see why people mods their cars to the extent they do if they are not going to be driving in a situation where those mods actually make a difference.
I am in the market for a 08+ Evo and it is annoying HOW many people buy these cars, mod the sh*t out of them and void the warranty, and then sell them expecting top dollar from a private seller and whine about the dealership lowballing them on trade-in.
You said you will prob keep the car for a long time, so that puts you in a different catergory but I would still just lightly mod the car and enjoy it for years and then put in the mods that will give you another 100+ hp.
Just my .02. To each their own. Congrats on the Evo. I hope to have on in my garage soon as well.

My apologies, I'm on my computer now, ahaha. I meant BOV and intake. For some reason my Samsung Note auto-corrected the combination of BOV and intake to ' BOVINE '. I don't even know what that means.

Regarding the mods, I was talking about light ones. And I'm definitely not expecting to sell the MR for more if I do happen to mod it. It would lower the value if anything, of course I figured that.

Regarding the Warranty, does even lowering the springs void it?

Technically, it doesn't "void" the warranty. If you modify something and it has a negative affect on the parts associated with the modification then Mitsubishi will deny the claim.

For example: Add lowering springs and burn out the transmission, you will still be covered. Add lowering springs and blow out your struts, it will probably not be covered.

Get an accessport from Cobb. It's the most bang for the buck. Then go from there.
