ETS or AMS intake?

So I think I am going to be purchasing an intake in the very near future. I have narrowed it down to either the AMS or the ETS intake. They both look very similar. The ETS however is a bit more appealing especially because it is cheaper and I can get the military discount.

Any and all feed back would be much appreciated.......HOLLA!!!

I personally prefer ams,but they are both good brands. Ams is arguably the best, but again, to each their own.

Can't beat the 10% discount but you can't go wrong with either

If you have an MR it doesnt matter, both are awesome brands and good quality. If you have a GSR you can fit the full cold air intake instead of the short ram. I dont think ETS has the full CAI so that why I bought the AMS CAI and I love it.

Depending on smog laws where you live... I recommend AEM because you get a CARB legal sticker and no one will give you a hard time. It's the same thing as the others, it's a cone filter, but it has a box around it which keeps heat away. I keep the cover off of my AEM intake to get maximum air.

I have the ETS, my friend just got the AMS...if I could do it again I'd get the AMS. I like how it fits and looks better.

ETS is MUCH louder though, which some people like and some don't.

Can't really go wrong either way...

Both products are great quality you wouldn't be disappointed with either of your choices. The Cold air intakes are a little more work to tune.

With these intakes if you leave the top off does water get into the filter if it rain or driving through a car was since the vent is so close to the intake?
I am also thinking of which one to go with but mostly the AMS and the K&N typhoon.

Also do these intake need a tune after install or are they ok to just put on and drive? I thought the K&N and AMS were ok with out a tune right or wrong?

for the most part unless everything else is freed up (your exhaust) you should be fine (read will survive but isnt ideal) without a tune. however, you'll see larger gains and better drivability when the car is tuned.

You WILL need a tune with the AMS. I repeat, YOU WILL need a tune with ams intake since it changes the maf housing diameter.
