Question Apparently my Evo is a Prius

I was wondering if anyone else has the following issue from upgraded fuel system;

Right now it says I average 48mpg and 520+ to a tank. The gas level readings are always correct. I am running double pumper, 2x 340's , ID2000, cosworth high flow fuel rail.

****, I wish it was true haha. How are other peoples readings?

Not close to that ... how long have you been driving like that? It'll reset itself. I drove home from a lake about 2 hours away and was averaging 28.7mpg for some reason... I know it was off though

Well from Orlando -> Chicago. I've put over 2000 miles on it now with new motor and I don't think its going to reset itself haha. I mean its not a big deal, I was just curious.

No no I mean in a single drive. As in you averaged 48mpg while driving 2k miles from Orlando to Chicago at once. I believe (and I'm not 100% sure) that the MPG will reset itself after 4 hours of no driving? Maybe it's just a glitch or something

Just looking at your SES light brings back nightmares

I'm getting an upgraded fuel system soon and I'll let you know how mine reads.

Yeah, I mean it "says" its normally around 35-50 mpg but in reality I only average 150 miles or less to a tank. It does count down the miles correctly as I burn through gas. Yeah I think its just a glitch because I have filled up multiple times already and driven for hours. Haha not fun, not to mention the car hates to drive even when its even a little under half a tank.

That weird haha so it'll start at 550 and then after a little while jump down to 450 (without you driving 100 miles)?

ECU computes MPG based on injector duty cycle. Bigger injectors = shorter duty cycle = ECU over-estimating MPG. Nothing to see here.
