Next mod? Suggestions?

Hey all, dont post a lot but thought I'd ask for opinions on this. My current setup is:

Nisie 1pc UICP
k&n drop in
3" exhaust + test pipe
cobb ap stage 2 tune
defi boost gauge

Car pulls real nice and is fun but of course always looking for more power. My current list of 'wants':

ets intercooler
grimmspeed/cobb ebcs
injectors/pump/e85(not totally sold on e85 yet)
eibach or similiar springs
ra tails

Im leaning towards either the intercooler or ebcs. Not sure how much immediate gains Id see from the ebcs but I know it will be beneficial down the road...Long term goals are a stock frame turbo upgrade but thats atleast a year or 2 away. .

Here's a thought. I know you're going for power but how about a better shifter?

Helps you snap off quicker shift or at the very least improve on the feel of your car.

However if power is what you're after how about a nice intake (bigger maf style) and a pro tune to squeeze more out of your current setup?

Yeah, I have a FMIC and it looks amazing, but Shifter is a great suggestion for a GSR, since the OE sucks donkey-*****

Short throw, or a pro tune.

Look into a downpipe or a tune as far as more power. For racing, look into a shifter.

DP is a royal PITA and not really worth it unless you're going to be yanking the turbo to upgrade or replace for some reason. Better gains can be found with a TP/HFC and a protune

The OP already had a test pipe that's why I was suggesting the downpipe. I know it's a PITA but he would see some gains probably around 7-10 whp or so. I mean obviously a pro-tune would be the best bet

His exhaust seems to be good for now.

His Intake could use some freeing up with an effective supporting retune.

All the stuff you guys are talking about net him little to no real HP gains. He wants more power, going E85 and a pro tune will give him tons of extra HP. The DP will help with the tune though as it gives more room for the tuner to work.

And convincing you to go E85....cheaper then whatever your putting in right now, safer then race fuel (won't cause detention even with the boosted turned up) and acts just like race fuel....what more could you want? That all equals the most HP for your buck.

Problem for most people is availability and distance between fill-ups. Like availability is a *big* problem in many places. Also, to convert to E85 probably need pump, injectors and a protune. So rather than just next one mod it's a couple (but IMO it's a great suggestion because it would support going to a slightly bigger turbo with no problems after too).

If OP is looking for just a low cost easy mod, shifter is a great idea. Easy mod for as much power as the DP without the intense labor cost, FMIC. I <3 my ETS.

But really, the OP hasn't said any of their goals, and knowing the goals makes all the difference in the suggstion.

Thanks for all the suggestions. The long term goal is a stock frame turbo upgrade and around ~400whp daily with turbo upgrade, but thats pretty far off.

Didnt think of the shifter, Ill add that to my list. A protune is definitely something I want but I live nowhere near any protuners(atleast according to cobbs website) so Im trying to make do with cobbs ots for as long as I can.

Undecided on e85 because like blade said availability, also consistency between blends in the northeast.

My friend is running E85 on maxxed out 850cc injectors. Then again he's driving a legacy pushing 425whp

You could always consider getting a pro tune through the mail.

That is my goal as well. My plan is the following:
-MAP o2 Downpipe (Ordered)
-MAP Test Pipe (Ordered)
-Grimmspeed 3 Port
-FIC 1100cc Injectors
-Walbro 255lp
-Cat-Back Exhaust (Installed)
-Intake (Installed)
-E85 Tune

It's a pretty small mod list but with the E85, will make some power. I'm thinking it'll dyno in at 375-400whp and 390-410wtq. And for all these mods I'm looking at roughly $1700 or so minus the tune. Not a bad price either

There are quite a few tunes that do e-tunes for those that aren't close. I'm sure someone on here can suggest a few good tuners.
