Intake shield idea.

Hey guys i need feedback on this idea.
I'm a mechanical engineer as well as an Evo X owner. I am in the process of designing and making a custom intake shield. The object is to design something with a unique look as well as improves air flow. So essentially it will be a better look then the others.
I plan on posting some pictures after I have completed a few.
I just want to know if y'all think it's a good idea and would you buy it?
After it catches on I could design anything you want to have on the shield. I think it is a great idea and nobody else is selling this. Which is what gave me the idea. Please give me feed back! I'm open to all ideas.

I had a ram air intake idea utilizing the the smaller scoop on the hood. If you could build an air box around the filter and using a seal to mate it to the hood. then taking the small vent replacing it with a small scoop that faces towards the front of the car allowing a fresh air ram effect that would be ideal. Just a thought that was bouncing around in my head.

This could also force any water right into your "sealed" intake box.

Yes was thinking of that. Kinda why it was still bouncing around in my head. Have a thought to prevent water build up. If on the inlet side of the box where the air is forced in there is a wall that drops down about half the distance and a small resivor at the bottom of the box with a drain tube should eliminate water build up and still allow air to be forced to filter only other problem is some water could still make it to filter unless there was a second wall built slightly past the first and position to the bottom of the box. just some thoughts

Awesome guys keep the ideas coming. I want to hear your pros and cons about your setup. What would make it better.

I know someone took the AEM or AMS (can't remember) air box and custom fit a piece of plexiglass on the top. You could see into the air box and see the conical filter. It look pretty good.

Yeah that was a baller mod. Looked great and kept the box together like OE.

Remember the AEM intake uses the factory cool-air snorkel too

Yeah I thought about something like that. The one I designed on AutoCAD looked pretty sick.

What about color guys? Should I just stick with the main evo colors?

I'm in the midst of making this happen as we speak. So feedback is crucial!
Ill probably starting selling on eBay first until I get my website running. So keep an eye out!

I'm just throwing around ideas. That's why I put this up. Functionality and design are done. I'm just tweaking and trying to make it better. That's why I need feedback.
