Trade EVO X for a 350/370Z?
I still have the Z and agree with all the positive comments...
Beautiful and great on the track. Just fun to drive...
Well balanced and fun to hang the rear end out (drifz FTW!) and yes, people notice it more...
Yep - alignment issues (front tires feather a lot[rolls eyes]).
But for a fast/awesome DD you are better off with the Evo (can fit friends in the car, AWD in the winter...) All the reasons The Z stays parked in the winter/snow/rainy days.
My $.02 worth.

1. This would be a summer car only.
2. Gas mileage would be similar.
3. I would not go past basic bolt ons.
4. I'm buying a 4x4 truck for winter and to haul people/stuff with.
5. Not sure what you mean
6 +7. I realise it's a bad decision money wise... but I am willing to do it.

5) What are expecting out of your car, what are you personally looking for.
It seems to me that something happend that made you think about this to start off with.
Something the evo didn't give you and thats why you are looking into a different car.
So your expectations of the vehicle fell short somewhere , therefore thats why your contemplating on the change.
Once you answer that basic question. Will the 370 ( I wouldn't touch the 350 with a stick) meet and exceed those expectations or is there a possibility it won't meet that expectation.
If it doesn't look somewhere else because you are only going to waste your money and regret it at the end.

The X just isn't all that fun to drive. I know some of you will think I'm crazy... but even my 05 STI was more fun. I'm not totally sure what it is about the car. Maybe it's that the AWD system is TOO good. It kinda makes it too easy. I also don't really like the interior at all... other than the seats. I dunno... maybe I am crazy and next week I wake up and say screw it I'll keep the X... but I just feel like looking at other options that I might enjoy more without giving up much performance if possible.
Hope that makes sense

here is the question for you then.. are you modded?
and how modded are you?
From what I am reading though your car is probably in the upper 200's and maybe lower 300( thats pushing it to be honest)
If I was you, get that car to a tuner asap , get an intake and get that sucker to the mid 300's
and you will defintely have fun especially doing twisties.
Also make sure you turn your AYC off and traction control and lets just say you will have Plenty of fun with the car
350/370 turns heads? In Va, it seems every 10 cars is a Z. Boring. May see an Evo once a month or so. Everyone looks at my Evo, and agree with one of the previous posters, pictures and video taken when just cruising normally by other people who are like, "Whoa, that thing is nicer than my Honda!"

One day an STI pulled up next to me on the freeway and the passenger was filming my car with his cell phone. I also get a lot of thumbs up as people pass me. People look at my car like it's a Ferrari or something. I like having a rare car.
There is definitely a lot more Z's on the road out here that the Evo, but even the Z is not that common in NM. It's the Mustangs that are all over the place. Every parking lot out here has dozens of Mustangs.
The Z is generally used as a daily cruiser and most modded Z's are for looks. The interior in the 370z is quite nice, and you will get more attention from girls and older folk. Most people discount the Evo unless they're a car guy/girl. It does **** me off at times that my 350z got more respect from most people than my Evo X, when the Evo X is just so much more car. I think you need to drive the 370z and see how you like it, and give yourself a few weeks to make a decision. Only you know what you really want.
My wife had a 370 manual as a "fun" weekend car. Needless to say, it sat all the time. Had it for 6 months and put maybe 300 miles on it. I drove it a few times and didn't care for it. We sold it. My old S2000 was much more fun to drive than the z.
I loved my 350z and was concidering going for the 370z but i had to have a mod friendy Turbo car. I dont think i can own a non turbo car again and even though you can turbo the Zs it cost an arm and a leg and you dont know what issues you will run into.
Funny enough 2 guys at my local Mitsu dealer just traded their Z's (one a 350, other a 370) for Evo X's and they said they wouldnt look back for a second. They both said they loved their Z but it doesnt compare in performance or 4 doors and a trunk to the Evo. I was on the fence a few times as to which to get and I got the Evo every time.
I have both. Had 3 Z33s, an 03 which I traded with 210K miles on the clock and no mechanical problems, an 08 Touring which I traded for my current 08 Nismo 350z.
Excellent cars, outstanding reliability, look great and are a fantastic value especially when you buy a good used one like I did in all 3 cases. They are, however, not an evo. They are quick and they handle great and make for some very nice track cars with perfect streetability but they do have their limits. They are a "closed" package meaning it takes a ton of money to mod one for a lot of power so you either do little stuff or keep it stock. We're talking 4K minimum for superchargers, turbos etc.. Despite that it is a very enjoyable car that you can have a lot of fun with. My fiance` loves it and she drives it everywhere (her car) and can't see herself without it at all which is pretty common. Apparently you either love a Z33 or you hate it there's no real middle ground.
Now for the 370s we have looked at getting one but they are a bit pricy and they have their differences. They are more up to date with their looks but their performance doesn't feel that much more to justify the increased price tag. The synchrorev is an awesome feature but I can live without it plus you sit higher and feels like it has more body roll then the 350 whch feels more planted (especially the Nismo).
