Jesus... I got Xpel Ultimate on full bumper, headlights, side view mirrors, full hood, and partial fenders for $1000. Keep looking those prices are rip offs.

Not sure what brand I have, since I never met the clear bra guy the shop uses. I've had mine for 4 months, holding up good. I see spots that looks like they could've been rock chips if I didn't have the clear bra. Cost me $600 for custom front lip, front bumper, up to the two vents on the hood, side mirrors, and roof up to the sunroof.

AFAIK Xpel is the only film wide enough to do a full hood on the evo without a seam. Dont quote me on this. Just something to ask about if your looking for a full seamless clear bra.

Nah, the installer I got the full hood on with Xpel used to use 3M Ventureshield to do full hoods and fenders.

well found a guy who is a xpel installer but he likes 3m better.,
but the reality of things is he is just charging me cost for 3m material. He needs it for his portfolio as the X is the only one he hasn't done.
$600 installed , 3M most of the hood covered, mirrors and quarter panels.

Just get something on it. Anything is better than a front end full of chips and scratches.

That seems like a pretty good price.

As someone said, get it done. Protect your paint. The only real benefit of Xpel Ultimate is that it is self healing, and you can apply anything to it without fear of damage/yellowing to the film.

IF you are getting 3M, it better be Ventureshield. If not, that price is a rip off.

3M on WW...no complaints here...upon doing research though, local installers recommended 3M...not sure if they were just pushing product or what...either way, I had 3M on a 09 Outlander and it held up fine...

Has anyone heard of 3M Chip Guard? I've used 3M Clear Bra before and it worked very well. Perhaps Chip Guard is the more politically correct new name for the same product?
