Wideband & Boost Gauge's
Wideband & Boost Gauge's
Now that I have my EVO X tuned I'm considering installing a boost and wideband (a/f ration gauge?). But I'm confused on what I actually require for the installation. Will buying a wideband gauge be sufficient for monitoring my a/f ratios? What about data logging is that something I should also look into or is that a whole other story? However, if none of this stuff is needed on my type of tune then I'll go ahead and skip it. I just want to make sure I won't be over boosting, running lean, and about to blow my engine up because I don't know what's going on. Just more of a safety measure than anything is why I want this. The car is mostly a weekend warrior but it sees some spirited driving and track time in the future.
My current mods are ETS CBE V2 Quiet, with AMS HFC, Cosworth air filter, and RRE's 3-port. I'm making 327 HP and 324 Torque.
I await your replies.

beers in advance for your time.

Hi,
you can get AEM Uego gauge and boost gauge.
Boost is pretty simple, the UEGO, you can delete the rear oem O2 sensor and plug the aem one, then you get the 5 volts to the proper cable. Check in the how to. pretty simple.
And get the power from the audio receiver ^^

those 2 gauges are a necessity in my mind. I couldnt imagine driving an evo without them even if its stock. Monitoring those things will tell you a lot about whats going on with the car. AEM for the wideband. Defi for the boost (I hate digital boost gauges)
