Seat cushion uncoformatble - air2gel?

Hi,
My bottom cushion just doesn't have enough cushion in it. My butt gets sore after awhile. I'm only 160lbs as well. :-/

Has anyone opened the bottom seat up? I'd like to see pics to see if it's possible.

I'm thinking if I shove some of this Air2Gel in there that will end my problem. Check out this thread from my Lotus guys:

I'm thinking of getting something as well, just a tad bit softer but my main reason is to raise my self about 1/2" in the seat for better visibility, I'm 5'10 but I just want a better all around view that I'm used to from my previous 1g and 2g dsm. Thanks, this looks like it might work for me.

I just took a peak underneath the seat. It looks like the foam just rests on a cloth/fiber like material that is held up with hooks. Sliding a sheet of air2gel in there should be pretty easy. I think I'm going to order some.

Thank you for such a well thought out and intelligent response. Combined with your command of the english language, it stimulates my intellect and awakens my senses. I look forward to more of your wisdom.

ironically i just gave a 65 year old lady co worker a ride in my car and she was amazed at how comfortable the seats were. she drives a 2006 mazda 6.

Got my shipment in! I cut a small section of 1/4" and 1/8" and laid them on top of the seat to see how it felt. I already can tell it feels like a big improvement!

To be honest the 2nd day I got my 11 GSR I bought a pair of ralliart lancer seats from a fellow member here for $150 bucks brand new the guy removed them to swap for evo seats as soon as he got his car. The great thing about the ralliart seats is that there the same color as the recaros same fabric and a lot softer. People get in the car and can't really tell until I tell them. I'm 38 yrs old married I want fast and comfy at same time. No not selling my recaros just incase you guys ask.

I inserted a couple sheets of material underneath the seat. It was fairly easy - remove the seat heater wire and then insert the sheet between the foam padding and mesh support material.
