Nvrmind. I just called the dealer this morning and I will have one in two days. Only $23. I know the parts guys at the dealer pretty good so I thought it was a pretty good deal..

I'll update the thread with the number when I get the package Saturday morning. Maybe next time someone breaks one, it will help them..

I'm curious what happened? Were you switching out to braided lines? what led to the cracking?

Thanks!

Just being dumb. I hadn't replaced rotors on the Evo yet, and on the first wheel, I guess I just put too much of a strain on the hard brake line trying to move the caliper or hit it or something..

I didn't even know I cracked it until I backed my car out and saw it was leaking fluid on the one side. I haven't even had time to check to make sure it is the brake line, but I'm almost positive it is..

Yes, good to know.

Additionally, on the brake caliper itself there is a "bridge pipe" a hard line that transfers brake fluid from one caliper half to another. This is MUCH more difficult to replace, as the dealer will only sell you a new caliper. The part is available from Brembo Italy, but they can also be made. It isn't simple though, as it requires a bubble flare, which is different than a single or double flare end, and some difficult bends. Nonetheless, if you ever break one, let me know as I, unfortunately, know much more about this than I would like and can get you a new one.

i have been searching everywhere for this, and im sorry for bringing this up from the dead, but im trying to get a part number for this part as well, and this thread never turned it up and should have.

does anyone have the part number to the front left brake hardline - trying to replaced my snapped one as well for cheaper than buying stoptechs

This may be the part but i can't be certain, im not sure if #9 is just the rubber hose or if its both the hose and the hardline, can someone clarify this: http://www.oemmitsubishiparts.com/pa...iagram=6267235

Hardline is the part that this guy has his hand on: http://img171.imageshack.us/img171/6912/resim6r.jpg
