Aem Wideband UEGO Communicating with ECU?
Aem Wideband UEGO Communicating with ECU?
I just called my tuner and was told that there is a way to connect the standard AEM UEGO wideband to the ECU, and program it so that when the wideband reads LEAN, to have the ECU work magic to save the engine. Is this true? I've never heard of any such way to do this outside of using the new gauge from AEM, the failsafe one.
With the uego to log in an x... First the rear o2 needs to be disconnected. Then the yellow wire ( unused from initial install) needs to spliced into the YELLOW wire that comes from the harness the rear o2 is connected to (under passenger seat). Then in evoscan a new value needs to be created so the ecu reads it. Your making the ecu think it is still using the rear o2 but your actually using the WB. I'll look for the how to.....
