gsr steering wheel on a ralliart

gsr steering wheel on a ralliart

so i've got a little project i'm working on but i need to know if the sport mode selector switch on a GSR's steering wheel would work on an RA

We don't have a sport mode, MR has a sport mode.

If you are talking about that switch on the left side of the steering wheel, that's from a 2008 Evolution. The newer models have that switch on the center console now. That switch is to change between Tarmac, Gravel, and Snow options to control the AWD system.

Pretty sure sport mode and such is only available on the SST transmissions.

aaah yes.... i feel like a real genius know

could this switch be wired in a way to use it sport mode selector, since its pretty much the same switch?

I'm not sure, but I wouldn't see why not. It is just a switch after all.

indeed, i guess just need to figure out how it wire it after the steering wheel harness... or which parts would have to be swapped

I'm just considering re locating my sport mode selector to the wheel and ditching the sst shifter plate for a 5 speed look.... Just to be different

Sport mode is available on both the MR and RA, it's Super Sport that only the MR has.

This is a well known fact,

but what I'm trying to figure out is if the gsr awd switch on the steering wheel can be used in my ralliart to be used as a sport mode selecto r switch
