EVO X going overseas

Hi all I have 2 questions.
My EVO and I are going to Korea for 2 years in SEP so my first question is if any thing happens would the dealerships there cover it under warranty? It is on stock tune now but if they won't cover it I will go ahead with 3 port & tuning before I go.

2nd question I just installed a boost gauge yesterday did a high way pull today the gauge showed 25psi then a drop to 20psi then back up to 27psi I also felt a slight stuter in there too. So what do you guy's think it never did that before the boost gauge and I went all through the hoseing and clamped all ends for leaks?

This is the main reason I am leaning for the tune now I was going to stay stock till warranty died but might have to tune to finde the problem dealers in SC know as much about these cars as a 5 year old one asked me if it was AWD and wanted to know where I got the turbo from after he changed the oil.

Stock every thing minus catback and upper pipe mind you.

If you plan on sending your car overseas I would throw an extra coat of undercoat on it so it won't rust, I know its off topic but I sent my VIII over to the UK and it started to rust bad while it was over there because of the shipping (seas and salt water in the air), just fyi...

Page 3 of the warranty says that, for cars sold in North America, the warranty only applies in the US, US possessions, Canada, and Puerto Rico.

You all do read the warranty and owners' manual, yes?

^^ yeah that too. When I was stationed in the UK, I did my own maintenance though and I didn't have any crazy mods. I also made friend's with some Brits that owned a rally car motorwerks and repair shop.

If I guessed that you were at Mildenhall or Lakenheath and the rally shop was in Thetford, would you laugh and shake your head or would you start to suspect that I've been following you around?

Thank for all the great info that all I needed to know now time to get the tune done and have some fun.
Before I go I will get the full service done on it and paint chip repair with clear coat.
I tried looking for a Mitsu dealer in Korea but found only a few post about mitsu auto pulling stores from Korea after they hyundai stoped sales in Japan.

Can't sell the car it has controle over me now and I'm just a little upside down in it lol.

AFAIK, The warranty for Canada is only for visits and catastrophic breakdowns. They won't cover cars that are operating regularly or registered in Canada for US-purchased vehicles.

That could easily be true. I was reading the warranty for a USDM and US-sold car, since the OP is in the US. People from Canada should probably ignore me, eh?

I would NOT take my Evo to Korea! I was stationed there (osan/kunsan) and saw many accidents and terrible roads. I'd put it in storage and ship it to your follow-on assignment. It'll will get mess up over there.

You say you're upside down on the car...I was told that in order to ship a car over seas you had to have the title in hand. Maybe it's different for military idk.

You don't need title in hand. If you still owe on the car you must get a letter of authorization from your lender approving taking the car over seas. My wife and I did this with no problems.
