Daily Driving Mods

I own a completely stock '08 GG GSR with SSS package. It has about 34k miles and has been good to me. I just did the 30k service not to long ago as well as replaced the spark plugs. Now its time to mod!

So far these are my plans:

Cobb AP (Stage2+HKSPF ACN91 Octane)
HKS Drop in Filter
ETS Test Pipe
ETS V2 Catback Exhaust (yes, i know its loud)
Depo Racing UICP
Depo Racing LICP
Depo Ralliart Style Rear Tail Lights
RallyArmor Mudflaps (black w/ red Logo)
Eibach Pro Kit Lower Springs
Rota DPT wheel 18x9.5 +22 (not sure what color)
Tires 275/35R18 (not sure what brand)
De-badge trunk except for Logo
Short Shifter (not sure what brand)
Tinted Windows %15 all around
Redo Mitsu lame sound deadening
Aftermarket Navi (not sure what brand)

None of these parts have been ordered as I am still doing more research on parts and stuff. But I hope to at least gain 50+ whp/wtq (due to 91 craptane) after everything. And again, I don't plan on going all out. I just want a nice reliable daily driver with some chipotle sauce. What do you guys think and what else should i add to the list?

that looks like a solid plan you got there, personally i would skip the audio stuff and get a pro tune via you're ap. you will also need a rear fender roll for you're suspension/wheel and tire set up.

1. I would forget the HKS dropin and get a better one.. Tests show they suck at filtering.. Get another on the list..
2. Are you going with Depo IC pipes just because of price? I would rather have all ETS since that is what exhaust you are getting..
3. Just so you know, like ^^ said, you will definitely have to roll te rear fenders.

Also, if you have a completely stock 08, you are going to get a good bump in power.. The stock tune sucked for 2008..

Agreed, I think the plan is fine though suggest doing some more research on manufacturers.

X2 it seems you should just get ETS bolt ons for simplicity sake, mixing and matching different companies parts doesn't always work out well with fitment.

I would also get the ETS down pipe, your already switching more than half the exhaust mine as well go all the way.

Exhaust and intercooler pipes from different brands will have absolutely no bearing on fitment...they're like 3 feet apart on the car... It's like saying you need to get an AMS CF roof because you have an AMS exhaust. Get whatever brand parts you want

I haven't ran into anyone with fitment issues on the Depo racing IC piping. From the reviews you can't beat them...

I would get a protune but I don't think we have anyone in vegas who is an approved cobb tuner. The closes cobb tuner is in socal. And thanks for the heads up. What wheel and tire combo would you recommend so it doesn't rub?

1. I heard something about that. Ill look into that more. I wanted to get an ets iintake but cobb doesn't support it. I will probably flash for a stock intake and put in a K&N drop in filter.

2. I'm going with depo because it is 200 less than ets. Also iv read nothing but good reviews about it. Fitment and quality is perfect.

3. What wheel and tire combo would u recommend?

If I had the money id do ets everything same thing goes for the dp. Plus I will be doing all the work myself and heard it is a pain in the *** to install a dp and won't see much gains for the price of it. Id do it if I was going with a bigger turbo and if I wanted more tq.

actually the wheels should be fine just back off the width of the tires. the stock size tires can be run on a 9.5" wheel safely. i would see whats available in 255's

You're on the right track with the dp. If you're trying to squeeze every last bit of power out of the stock turbo, get the dp. But you can easily reach your power goals without the pain in the *** dp.

I would however suggest getting in touch with a good etuner for a custom tune (protune). It's much better than a OTS map from cobb and you can run any parts you want (intake, etc) instead of using what cobb supports.
