Floor mounted accelerator?
Floor mounted accelerator?
Hi guys. So personally I dont like the position of the gas pedal in my GSR. Do you recommend aftermarket pedals that are more oriented for heel toe stuff, or converting to a floor mounted gas pedal?
Well, given that I have such an easy act to follow....
The difficulty of changing the gas pedal is that we have a throttle-by-wire system, so you can't just grab any old replacement. I agree, however, that the relative heights and locations of the pedals can make certain things difficult. I would start with a good set of covers and see if that works for you.
If you're having difficulty bringing your left foot across to the brake, you can consider swapping to a larger clutch master cylinder to decrease the needed throw, as well.

Ask uncle Google about SRP racing pedals. I track my car and had trouble with heel and toe shifting with the stock pedal covers. The SRP setup works like a charm and their customer service is awesome. No need for goofy crap like what's shown in that pic.
