It would probably be ok but retune wouldn't be a bad idea.Id actually recommend doing more bolt on parts that your going to do then retune.

i personally would wait until you have more mods to re-tune. It will not cause any damage if you don't re-tune and if you plan on getting more mods i would defiantly wait until you have more mod before a re-tune.

^ That. I agree with above statements. Get your moneys worth out of a tune. Either way its gonna cost you

yeah what they all said, just drop in everything you want and have it retuned so you don't have to keep paying over and over

Get all your bolt ons: intake, HFC or TP, CBE, UICP, 3-port boost solenoid, Fuel pump upgrade then retune. you will love it all over again.

when you replace your TBE with a larger one you DEFINITELY need a tune...

you can buy your TBE ,but when you install it make sure you tune your car..

this also apply to intake (your mix will become lean) & fuel pump as well,

avoid throwing things on your car without a tune.

Michael.

Yes, avoid throwing things on your car without a tune but if you wanna spend the money on a tune every time you put something new on... go ahead. I would personally buy what I want when I have the money for it and let it sit in the garage until I have most of my bolt ons and then get it all installed and tuned at one time. If it is going to be a long time between parts that you buy and you can't wait to put it on, then maybe go ahead and get the tune if you buy the bigger exhaust. You will tell your car isn't running right if you don't get a tune after putting on an exhaust. I had a friend that put on his exhaust and didn't get it tuned for a couple days but still drove the car around and never threw up a CEL but he said wasn't as responsive and could just tell it wasn't running right. I would recommend an intake with your exhaust and then get a tune. You will see a pretty good gain and it will only cost you a little more to get the intake.

It is true...but what are your plans for the future? Bigger turbo? Then I say it wouldn't hurt if that's the case.
