Cobb stage 3...what else do I need?

I am getting ready to (I think) buy the Cobb stage 3 setup. I know there are cheaper exhaust set ups out there but I like the simplicity of being able to run an OTS map for the time being while I accumulate more parts for an eventual custom tune. Also, I think Cobb has excellent quality craftsmanship and have never had a problem with any of their products. All that said, I am going to get the AEM failsafe Wideband/Boost gauge. What else do I need? Inevitably, it seems every time I embark on a little project like this I forget something and it winds up costing a lot more than I initially planned.

Anything I am obviously going to need that I am forgetting?

If you buy their stage 3 package there is nothing else that you absolutely need. Like you said...simplicity of a complete package

Ok cool. that being said, do you think I am going a more expensive route for the sake of simplicity? Or do you think think there are cheaper alternative combinations of parts to the Cobb package that offer the same performance/quality?

Cobb makes very nice parts, I have their catback and like it. Quality and fitment is top notch, and it has a great tone without being too loud. I also have their 3" turbo inlet tube and Accessport.

Sounds good. Now I just need to gather the fortitude to call and order. I must be getting old, bc it feels so damn irresponsible to buy car parts now

Noob question but can someone just skip all the stages and just get stage 3?

The stage 3 kit I linked to above includes everything from stages 1 & 2 so yes, you just need to buy that one package.

It took a while for it to grow on me. I have always been more of a fan of a "tuner" or "race" style exhaust...something like the Tomei Expreme. But with that usually comes a very LOUD exhaust. I really like the sound and the volume of the Cobb. That's what sold me. I dont think it looks strange, per se. I think the quad tips are a nice yet subtle change from the stock appearance.
