My first post, hopefully I don't screw up too bad.

I've seen a couple pictures online of a few x's that have what I would call an upper diffuser where the rear window connects to the roof. They seemed more popular on earlier gens. I'd be interested in one for my x but I can't figure out what to search for (upper/top diffuser gets me nowhere). Is it called something else? Anyone know a good place that might sell one? Thanks!

 

Try to search for roof spoiler. Plenty of them up on ebay and I am sure some can be found on the supporting vendors' websites.

Well, you seem to be confused on the difference between adjectives and adverbs, but that's par for the course.

As others have said, you're looking for a vortex generator. One reason why they aren't as popular on Evo Xs as they are on previous generations is that the roof and rear window were redesigned to not need one. For actual performance, we need vortex generators at the tailing edge of the entire car (on both the sides and top of the trunk), not on the roof.

edit: does anyone else see the irony (and it's real irony, not Alanis Morissette irony) of there being two active threads, one of which complains about the high coefficient of drag of an Evo X and another about putting unneeded vortex generators on the same?
