Looking for an Evo

Sup guys. I've been on this site getting help with my car etc. I have a fully built Cobalt SS with a 25g etc. It is'nt working right and I'm sick of dumping money into this car.

I have a few general questions about this evo x. I've searched and got some few answers but not for sure 100%

I want to know what exactly has to be done for this car to be 500whp. Do I need to built the motor? What exactly would you recommend from your experience. This is what I'm guessing based of my own experience with my cobalt SS.

Basic mods I'm sure it will need are intake, downpipe, intercooler, chargepipes, Injectors, maybe cams.. A clutch for sure. A big turbo obviously lol.. I'm looking at a gtx35r or a 6262. Might build the motor in the future etc. New tune lol

So yea, lmk what you guys think I have here and if you can see what this stock motor can basically handle and what recommendation of mods etc. Thanks!

You can achieve 500+ with a big *** turbo, EF4, FP Black etc. The turbo lag will actually be an issue but once it does kick in, its like a truck.

You wont need to build the block but will have to do everything else... intercooler+pipes, fuel pump, injectors, full exhaust, intake/exhaust manifolds, throttlebody, intake etc... There is bunch of other stuff.

Building the block would be a better idea if you wanna put that much power down because the stock engine won't handle that much force but with that, reliability goes out the window.

Thank you for your input. I was looking for either an ATP GTX stock location setup, or a whole full race turbo kit with an EFR. I had a 6758 EFR on my cobalt before the 25g and I loved the EFR series. Too bad it blew on me haha. I'm not too worried about turbo lag. I'm used to it why my 25g at like 4.7k rpm LMAO.

I would be doing 500-550whp pulls only with racegas on kill mode when I'm doing my 1/2 drag events or just doing some mexico comparo runs LOL. For a DD on 91 or maybe even e85 I would go with 400whp should be good for me. So a new intake mani and throttle body is a must?
