2012 Evo X Issues, maybe stock map?
Maybe its just depressed now and doesnt have the will to live anymore
Can understand your frustration.
Once I waited 3 months for Pontiac to replace a 350 tuned port motor.
It took 3 short months, but that's a long time ago.
At least they agree there is a problem & are willing to fix it, that's 90% of the problem, so a correct diagnosis.
Worst case a tech come in from hq & it will be fixed.
Also at this point, I wouldn't rush them let them figure it out & get it right the 1st time, you don't want to go back or have another failure due to a rush job.
Good luck with your repair, some cars are just a bit moody than others.
Maybe yours will be an easy fix, again good luck.
I feel your pain, it's ridiculous you doth have your evo backs

I'm on the phone with them now. They told me to call today. They replaced the fuel pump and fuel pump housing and said the car runs better but that wasn't the main issue. They are now telling me they are replacing the ECU.
They are ABSOLUTELY giving me the runaround and I think they have no idea what they are doing.
The first Mitsubishi dealer I brought it too told me the line off the wastegate was too long and that was the issue. He wanted $400 to fix it. I told him to give me my keys and I'm not giving him a dime.

Now the car is being pushed back to a Saturday delivery of the ECU and Monday install.

Did you tell them all of the things that had been done to the car previously? Do they have all the information you have?
For example, if you put a back-to-stock Evo in front of me that is running lean, I might not think to clean the MAF's hot-wire since the OE filter has no oil. But if the car used to have a K&N filter (which a lot of people over-oil), then I'd know to check the MAF.

This would be another good "for example." If you have the same injectors in the car as you had when you ran E85, they could be partially gummed up by a tank of bad fuel. That rarely happens on E15 or E10 or whatever you get in your area, so they wouldn't bother to check it. And it would not show up on a fuel-pressure check.
Unless your local dealership has better-than-average techs, they will not make the jump from "ETS intake" to "the car used to have a oil-type air-filter, so we need to check the MAF."
So you returned a heavily modded car back to stock to get warranty work, yet you are complaining that Mitsubishi is taking too long and "doesn't know how to fix their own car"?
Let's just hope they don't come one here, see your thread and put 2+2 together...otherwise warranty voided. Correct me if I'm wrong.

So just an update. Got a call they put the new ECU in and problem solved. Not sure why the ECU was messed up. Now they are getting a code for a faulty cat... so now they are replacing that
. Problem after problem. Hopefully the car will be good after this.
