Those who left the ct9a platform
Thinking about trading in my 05 ssl with 105k for this evo X. Do dealers usually give decent money for the evo 8? And what's the thoughts on his specific X. Thanks.

Personally I wouldn't go for a modified one. Try to look for one as stock as possible. As far as trade in, I think that depends on the dealership and where you live. Chances are they won't give you KBB.

The one I posted is fairly stock. I may even opt for a brand new 13 or low mile 12
You'll love the X! IX & VIIIs are good too, but the X is a good platform and a lot more "comfy" you can say I guess.
You can find a X that's bone stock for the same price, if not cheaper if you dig around.

The X, from everyone I've heard and read handles BETTER...that is what has me excited. I know my VIII feels like a super connected go-kart, I hope the X is the same. Is the steering rack identical or does the steering feel disconnected.
But before you pull the trigger, go test drive on at a dealership and see if you like it.

THAT! I don't care how good a car handles, if it feels like the car is doing it for me I can't stand it. That's the reason I don't like BMW. I like a connected feel. I have to go test drive one, may just end up going for a 2013.
I think almost a same both. But as it happened before all the time, the next gen always was a better car overall then a previous generation.
For a street the X is a def. winner. for medium mod level its still a winner. serious racing , depends which car build better by a team, and a driver
i miss all my evos. i wish i had a money to keep them all. Not because they are better or something. i just liked them. But as i said before each gen as go a newer one is a better car.
but if could keep only one of my old evos this would be a one i would keep and still if i have to choose now, i would not give up the X for this.

When I let go my VIII its Gona suck. It was my first evo and the ct9a is my favorite chassis evo by far, its the car I dreamed of when I was young and now it gonna go for the X. I'm excited but also hesitant. It was a memory going to pick up my first evo and learn all thing evo related in it.
