I picked up this exhaust system last week and don't know much about it. I believe the exhaust was a full T1R (Type One Racing) exhaust. It has a MXP Performance down pipe. There is no muffler or catts. I currently have a 2013 evo and wanted to see your guys opinions on the exhaust.

 

My opinion is that it is going to be too loud. It appears to have a resonator so that should help with drone but...if you dd your evo the noise will probably get old very quickly. I have HKS Hi Power exhaust and it is a bit too loud at cruising speeds for me. Luckily I don't drive far often.

 

T1R exhaust is nice and usually in high demand. I believe it's made in the USA as well

They are both high quality parts.

 

T1R is a local brand located in Richmond, BC. Sounds pretty nice, i've heard this in person and its not too loud nor too quiet.

 

Its probably gonna be stupid loud, which is not really good being that you are in CA.

Also, who ever deleted the mufflers did a poor job. cheap piping and nasty welds

 

Going to be loud.. A buddy of mine deleted his mufflers just like this one. I'll post a link if I can find it. Screams at WOT

 

Thanks guys for all the information regarding the exhaust. If I were to sell the exhaust how much do you guys think i could get for everything? I looked online and the exhaust looks like its pretty expensive brand new. Any of you have an idea of what i could sell it for used?

the downpipe and test pipe, probably 50% of new msrp

as for the cat back, not much at all. While it was expensive when new, it is now used, poorly hacked up and will be annoyingly loud.

 

you could probably get 100 for downpipe, but you'll probably never sell that hacked up exhaust. You might ask T1R if they can sell you just the back section.

 

I wish you were in Texas. I'd buy that catback. I'm sure someone in CA would buy it if you decide to sell it.

 

That definitely is not the type one racing exhaust. It has a big muffler. I had one for about a year until their test pipe broke clean in half on a weld and they offered no help so I sold the whole thing. I would stay far away from that company. Sell the exhaust and get a better one.

If you are looking for quiet get a catted test pipe. It will help quiet down any exhaust you get.
