Horrible constant squealing need help

After off roading a little bit, a horrible squealing noise emits from what sounds like the front passenger wheel or brake happens, and when turning it sounds like pure metal to metal grinding. I rushed to a car wash and cleaned it extremely well, but it just sounded worse over and over? I really hope its just Mud/Dirt stuck in the brakes, but with some of the sounds i wonder if it is? My evo only has 2500 miles on it so i dont suspect anything broken hopefully. If anyone thinks or knows the problem could you give me some answers? Thanks

It would be very easy to pop out your front pads and see. You can do this yourself. Pull the wheel, use a nail set or similar, and pop the pins and pull the pads. If you are not familiar, just read up about changing your pads, this is, literally, 10 minutes, tops.

I'm so tempted to say that noises from that corner of the car have recently been proven to be caused by small holes in the intake piping, but I won't. Instead, I'll just agree that it's dirt or a small stone and suggest that you just blast that corner with air or water.

Have to ask, are you really worried? You off roaded a car with 2500 miles on it and your wondering why its squealing? Confused as to what you were expecting after your outing? Rally car or not, you cant abuse it and expect to walk away unscathed and without a bill.

I heard those random holes in the intake is a persisting problem with the X. I think Mitsu has a TSB about it.

What was your point? Lots of people are unaware that small stones and dirt can get between the caliper and rotor, causing noises. This can happen just driving calmly on a dirt or gravel road. And what makes you say that "off-roading" an Evo counts as "abuse," anyway? To some of us, slamming the car to the ground, stretching the tires, and/or installing a glow-in-the-dark shift knob is an order of magnitude more abusive.

Yeah, there are things that the Great Unwashed ought to know without being told. In those cases, a dose of sarcasm seems appropriate. But the noises caused by a rock between a caliper and rotor isn't one of these. It will completely freak you out the first time that it happens, but is actually not a big deal, simple to fix, and not a sign of abuse.

This same thing happened to my car, but I wasn't even off road. I could here a grinding sound coming from the front tire. I drove to the dealership. When they removed the tire, there was a piece of a tree branch stuck in the brake rotor. After they found it, I remembered running something over in the road and it must have been a tree branch.
