Something missing?

I was doing some interior cleaning after this rough winter. I noticed water was just sitting in this piece. I tried to look at parts diagrams online, however being I didn't know what the foot rest was called I couldn't find much. I'm not sure if it's supposed to be open like that or if there is a plug im missing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Please note that being like me is very weak evidence that there isn't something missing from your life. Just ask my wife's family.

In a few months you'll find some weird looking plastic piece under your feet and wonder where it come from. Then you'll throw it out or lose it. Then a couple months later you'll realize it was the plug for that hole.

That's what happened to me anyway

Btw, I've heard most people refer to the "foot rest" as the "dead pedal".

That's what happened to mine (on a 2008 gsr). There definitely was a plug in there... and I definitely threw it out... it really doesn't do anything except stop stuff from falling in there. I got weather tech mats recently... should have got them a long time ago... they are awesome!

I've been looking at parts diagrams for the "dead pedal" and cant seem to find much. Anyone happen to have a link to the diagram or part number for the plug?

It's actually a foot rest. I doubt you'd ever remove it, fill the hole up with black silicone. Lol
