No USB/AUX cord on 2014 GSR?
So, i been looking through my car and the manual and it seems i dont have a usb plug in or an aux cord in my car, where the manual suggests it supposed to be are just bolts that seem to be covering it. i don't have a nav sys in it but i do have the touch screen head unit. Is it normal not to have it in 2014 models and is there a way to hook up an aux cord to it?
I am not to familiar on the specs of the 2014 models but they are generally located near the cigarette lighter. On my 2010, it is located above the cigarette lighter in a separate compartment. It utilizes two connecting inputs. A red and white plug that is married to a whole single cord.
It's has a little cover with a pull tab on it covering the inputs that has the USB symbol on it. I'd snap a pic for ya but I'm not at my car.

My '14 MR has the USB in the top front of the glove box, under a cover. Practically part of the lid frame.
But I have the GPS/MP3 server unit. The USB is intended as an iPod interface.
There's bluetooth for the phone, and an SD slot for flash.
I'm not sure the glove box lid would close with anything plugged into the USB.
Also, the "cigarette lighter" isn't. It's a power "lighter" outlet with no actual lighter. No ash tray, either.

Yeah, the USB connection is in the glove box. I wasn't sure where mine was either but kept looking and found the little cover with the USB symbol. I like it there because it hides away your Ipod. The only thing I don't like is it take a few minutes for the head unit to sync with the Ipod.
The AUX port that would be in the space below the HVAC controls were no longer included after 2011. You can still purchase the piece from the parts dept and install it since the harness should be there. I'm not certain for the 2014 Evo X because they updated the harness for the radio and such.

I hope you make sure they know this in the Mitsu survay.

The glove box closes just fine with a flash drive inserted into the port. I use a Sandisk Cruzer Glide 16GB.
I roll with a flash drive all the time too.... But on road trips I use the USB to power the cell phone which is used as GPS.
Then I stream bluetooth from the phone for music. Since the USB flash drive is unplugged.
