Aftermarket Lips

in order to install aftermarket lips do you need to use the OEM Aero lip hanger? or do they just bolt up differently than stock?

do you mean a splitter that goes on the bottom of your aero lip? or like an actual lip that replaces the one you have now?

I would think that a new lip would come with the mounting hardware

I guess I'll have to buy one and hope it doesn't use the OEM hardware cause mine is in pieces.

Im wondering what would happen if you were to buy a used aero lip off someone for my non aero and if he would give me the hardware/ if there is even a place to mount it.

you can put an aero kit on a non aero car as long as you get the hanger/bracket. it's necessary for the OEM one. but what I don't know is if the aftermarket ones still need the hanger/bracket.

yes it bolts to your front bumper and then your lip and undertray attach to that hanger.

here's my hanger that's all broken, I'll post a pic tomorrow when I get it back from the shop.

Eh you always end up kinda winging it anyways. Tabs always break, they rarely line up, the J clips get lost, Etc. Usually i use one or two well nuts in each of the wheel wells, and tap new ones up from under the bottom, 4 should do it. You can get wellnuts at Home Depot or online.

Pick up an SEM Bumper Repair Kit and it will fix that all up.
