I am getting a protune next week. Just wondering if I will need a 3 port? Is there any benifit to having it?

Need? Absolutely not. Is there a benefit? YES!

A 3 port only costs $100 or so, and it will make a noticeable difference. I picked up 35 WHP and 46 FT-LBS torque with the Grimmspeed 3 port and a Synapse DV. Most of those gains came from the 3 port. If you don't get one now and decide to add one down the road you'll have to pay to be tuned again. Just get it now. On my car the difference in acceleration was VERY noticeable.

3 ports are electronic. You should wait and install it when you get to where you're getting tuned. It's a really quick install.

Your boost will hold much better and earlier using 3 port compare to stock BCS,
definitely worth installing before pro tune.

Personally I just stayed out of boost, but the tuner was only about 5 miles from my home.

its easy to install, just have your tuner do it, or do it yourself in the parking lot
