HKS DMR is a must

I got this video recorder couple of days ago. i will do more writing about this because does deserve it.
Installed them today , took about 10 - 15 minutes. Then i started testing on the street, until i go to race again with a Rally car.
There are couple of reasons why it is a good idea for us Evo owners to have this unit on the streets. No1 and specially against bully's on the road, and undeserved tickets. I am sure we ALL been there.... This way you WILL cut all arguments short, when you have a detailed video proof. Also has a great VALET parking benefit. You def will know what they did with your car when you left it there. Even when you park it. When you parked your car, there is an option if you want can make continuous video. That option i didn't tried it yet. I am sure it will be handy at any event , either accident or incident. You def. will have an independent "eye witness" on scene....
who deasnt like that? Has GPS info , speed , Gshock etc.
so here is how it came with UPS.

Comes as you see with 8gb memory card - two video camera, one for front view and one for rear. also two different power cable. permanent or cigaret lighter etc.
Very easy set up and install!

here is how loo like in my car , sorry for the camera pictures.

rear view

front view /main unit

very discreet, you cant even notice the rear camera.

Right now i am working on the video etc. So far i did make a driving log with google map and earth. both has a direct button on a desktop software so very easy pair them with the videos.
here is the screen shots.
map

earth

i am so happy so far, but have to find out how i can make a decent video of them.

Ill be back on that later.

I love this unit so far! Good idea HKS!

Nice, I didn't know HKS made one. I use the blackvue DR 500 HD/WIFI. Great dashcam, detects motion and impacts (in case of hit and run or vandalism) when the car is off and the wifi makes it viewable on your phone or camera instantly. It also plays in 1080p and is great for insurance claims and accidents.

That's a cool app.

How do you have it mounted in your car? Can you post a pic? Thanks.

Thats pretty slick. Better than my GoPro on the dome light. (which gets some pretty cool footage of the cabin on track days) but I like the idea of that one, nice, simple.

I'll get a better picture of a mount later, but is just the an old iphone case 3m taped to a suction cup mount from a tomtom gps unit, you could use any suction cup mount just make sure it is a solid mount so it doesn't vibrate.
