Was the dealer suppose to remove it before delivery?

I was noticing this the other day as well on my 2014 MR. Looks like it could be pushed down to be flush but its hard to reach with the windshield angle.

 

What you have there is that legendary Mitsubishi build quality...

 

Normal. No idea what purpose it serves but it's there on my 2014 and 2011.

There were a few pieces of plastic wrap labeled "Remove Before Delivery" on my car. By the time we were done with all the money / contract stuff it was getting very late so the dealer probably did a rushed job preparing my car.

 

It's a foam insulation. I think we have it on every car. Ours are just more visible.
