New to the forums and evo life. Just picked up a 2014 ww X. And was wondering about the gearbox? Are they that notchy in them? To be honest, I feel like I'm grinding gears. But I'm not stupid, I've driven many manual transmission cars because that's my job. So what's the deal? Try not to flame me too much.

 

The gear boxes range from very notchy to omg-I-just-broke-something-notchy. Some gear boxes have a hard time going into first and second on cold starts. My car felt the same for the first 1k miles and got progressively easier to shift. Hope this helps.
