Boost issues...

Just got my 09 ralliart off the dyno. EF3 from MAP with the turbosmart internal Wastegate. Grimmspeed 3 port also. My issue is that the boost kept spiking or wanting to above 30psi. Even bypassed the boost controller. Also took one of the Wastegate springs out so I have the two bigger appearing ones in there yet. I was under the impression that with all 3 springs it was 18psi. No boost leaks. Suggestions?

Whats your ambient air temp when you are spiking.
I would suggest connecting the Wastegate directly to the intake manifold
it may open at the target faster.

if not, lower the spring pressure again if you can.

Like 40 degrees. Another suggestion ive received was to try tossing on a stock gate and seeing if that works.

40 is cold, usually you will get some boost spike.
just because the air coming in is denser.
You could try that, but i fear perhaps its not opening enough
or the actual port is too small, when you got the turbo did you
check to see if the port is about the size of the flap?

Ya. The tuner said it was just beyond ridiculous how bad it wanted to spike as in definitely mechanical issue. He could be wrong I guess but he's got quite the tuning knowledge tho. Shane the brain doesn't happen overnight haha
