Help with Launch Control

So Im taking the Evo to the track for first time tomorrow night and tried out LC a few times. Is there something Im doing wrong in the process that kicks on the Transmission overheat warning?

is your car at normal operating temperature? also If you don't have your foot ALL the way on the brake then the trans will slip. Also i believe there is a limited amount of times you can and SHOULD launch the car

Yeah car was at normal temp. Pretty sure brake was all the way down. Only reved it to like 4k when I let it go though...
