Tial Q BOV - quick qtn on reducing sound
All,
Just picked up an Evo X and have spent a lot of time searching.
Simple qtn really, my Evo x came with a TIAL Q BOV and apparently a 10psi spring. It's been plumbed into the UICP too. At the touch of the gas pedal it goes psssshhhttttt (even in neutral).
I love the sound but only want it going off when properly boosting it. (As in at least above 10psi), it gets annoying very fast.
Will changing the spring to 12psi help me in anyway? If not, what other options do I have?
Thanks
Rob
Ps. Was on stock turbo now on HKS 6420 and still does it.

Tial Q is a vent to atmosphere blow off valve.
Unfortunately it will sound ricey no matter what spring you throw in it. If you don't like the ricey sound, buy a QR or any other recirculated diverter valve.
