Trouble with the 2 screw plugs on intake duct

Keep turning them and they just spin not backing out. Is there a trick to get them popped out?

Thanks !

the only thing i can think of is a small flat head screw driver to pry inbetween the screw and out side plug and pop them out i had the same problem with mine in my ralliart they slide in and out but i know you don't want to show and chips on the screw plugs i know it sounds bad but just saying on what i did for mine on my ralliart

Well that sucks. Why even put Philips keyway in there if its useless to get them out?? I need to take it off to install my UICP but yeah would like to avoid messing them up trying to pry em out

yea i know it was kinda dumb i thought when i was looking at it myself but best bet would be use a small tech screw driver or if you can fit your hand under the core support and try to push them up but i know i couldn't i have big hands you would need like the small girlish hands to fit but i can't recall if you can get to them from under the support bar and i am at work and my evo is at home so i can't really double check for ya

I had the same problem before. I felt stupid when i figured it out. Instead of most things where you push down on the screw to get grip, put only enough pressure on the screw so that the screwdriver won't come out. Almost like pull up as your unscrewing it. If it's already alittle stripped wedge a tiny flathead and pry the screw and it'll come up pretty easy, but you should be able to get it by just unscrewing it with as close to no pressure as you can.
