Installed ETS UICP and now have a major boost leak

So I installed the UICP and checked that everything was tight and all the clamps were tight well went to take it for a spin and I could hear the boost escaping and could feel it losing power. Here are some pics I took of the couplers. Anyone see anything wrong or have an idea? Thanks!

Well I loosened the Air inlet coupler and pushed it down a little more then re-tightened it. Also loosened up the mid section and made sure the clamps were on the edge past the seals and re-tightened. Boost leak is still there so I need to check the coupler at the IC pipe but have to take the cowling off again. What a pain in the *** this is turning out to be!

Yea it is a pain. Mayb check that the bolts are tightened alittle more and maybe the intercooler coupler might not be on as tight as it should be. That one can b a pain to do with the front bumper still on.

Well I think I fixed it. I repositioned the coupler at the IC inlet and made the T-clamps super tight. Theres about .5 inch of thread showing on the screws now as to .25 before. Still wondering why the ETS coupler is about 1/4 inch shorter than the stock ones. Car pulls stonger now but still hearing some slight whoosh sound at higher RPMs. What a pain in the *** though. Had to go get a deep 11mm socket and a swivel to help make it easier. Also removed my horn from the bracket. Gonna have em check it over when I get tuned cause Im paranoid theres still a slight leak

That swoosh sound might not be a leak and just the air rushing through the new uicp. If its running good then might not be a leak after all

I would double check the clamp locations and make sure none of the clamps are on the intercooler pipe bead. The install looks great!

Also cant you just use some soapy water to see if there is any bubbles around the coupler while the car is running so you can see if there is any leaks?

I had a huge leak when I first put the UICP, LICP, and intercooler on my car. Try doing a boost leak test.

Right on. I'm pretty sure they're not but going to double check tonight when I reposition the two mid-clamps.

separate topic for my 9's LICP, clamps on but must be a leak somewhere. I'll check if mine are on a pipe bead, but what of it? could air be escaping through there?

I installed mine last summer and had same issues. The leak was coming from the coupler to the IC since it's awkward to tighten it w/ out removing the bumper. I tightened it real good and issue solved!

I had that same issue, removed my bumper so I could get at it better, and was able to re-position everything so that it all fit just right and tightened it all down. I know that all the install guides out there say you dont need to remove your bumper to do the UICP, but I definitely recommend doing it for simplicity and less frustration. Takes like 15 minutes to take it off to once youve done it once.

Make a snoop mixture (Soap and water mix) and spray on the piping and connections. If there is a air leak, you will see the soapy bubbles are the location of the leak.

Check the coupler to the intercooler inlet. That was my problem.

I also noticed on my t-bolt clamps, I had a lot more threads showing then you. the t-bolts should be compressing the silicon coupler, if not, they are not tight enough.
