ETS Intake Filter

Google doesn't help much. I know the filter is a 5" i also know the part number is.. 69-6546TWR

But i can't seem to find a direct link to buy this K&N filter. Where are you guys getting yours? Are you using different aftermarket dry filters? Are you reusing them?

Just re-use the one you have. It's meant to be re-used. The ETS filter is the K&N filter, verbatim, just with the ETS stamp. K&N makes a cleaning solution that you can use to wash the filter and then there is a spray on coating that you put over the filter that helps it catch more dust (at least I think thats what it does). Either way, I probably clean mine once every 3-4 months or so.

I bought this intake from a user on here and the filter is a filthy mess. i would prefer to just get a new one at first then go about the cleaning solutions down the road. i just need to find a place to order just the filter.

Sorry. On my phone for this. I didnt think they would sell just the filter but they do. Million mile warranty on it.

Cleaning kit!

Good luck. Keep the old one anyway. After a few solid washes it may start to look new again. I usually drop it in a sink full of soapy hot water for sbout half an hour or so then i rinse the inside and outside with some high pressure water.

So you don't even use the K&N air filter cleaner kit? You dont oil it after the pressure wash? I'm just curious so i can wash this instead of maybe ordering a new one. . I actually think i filters your supposed to wash from inside to out only. If you spray the outside then you embed dirt into the filter rather than spraying it outwards.. maybe im wrong.

Cleaning info: http://www.knfilters.com/cleaning.htm
Use low water pressure (garden hose or similar), not a high pressure washer.

Oh well what i meant by high pressure water was like hooking up a short hose to your faucet and just putting your thumb or finger over the hose outlet to get a little spray diversity. Definetly not the kind of pressure youd get out of a pressure washer. And yes definetly use the cleaning kit. The soap they give you is fine. And spray it down with the oil they give you too. You can pick the kit from autozone or oreileys or whatever local car shop you have in town. Its pretty cheap. Instructions are inside as well.
