Yea - not too sure about that place, but the car (and previous owner) seem to be good.


I plan on making it a daily driver, so I don't think I will be making it track worthy.

Yeah I planned on that too. Lasted about a year. Now I have a droning, rough riding, track focused car; and a backup DD. I'm a little south in Central IL here.

 

Im glad to see some locals - thanks! I hope to see some more Evo's around town... Since the weather broke, I have been seeing a few more on the roads, but it is still pretty limited.


I am really enjoying it so far!
My wife surprised me with the vehicle for my birthday, before I was able to schedule test drives at some dealerships, so I owned it before I drove it.


Nice. I purchased a few "visual" and "car care" type items so far.... rubber mats, lighted reflectors, LED bulbs, etc. I am planning on making some engine upgrades, but (I think) it will be pretty limited. I just sold my previous daily driver, so I am pretty committed at this point.
I am actually building another vehicle... more of a show style, not track style, vehicle. I hope to have that on the road in the next few months.... it has been a 10 year project so far, but for most of that time, no work was being done.

Welcome to the neighborhood! I live in Winnebago now, but I still work in Rockford, so you can see my silver 8 pretty much everyday if you drive by the airport . There are a fair amount of Evos in town, you just have to know where to look. There's a group on Facebook called +X Auto that a lot of us are a part of. Join that and you should be able to meet several other Evo owners in the area.
