14 MR value

I am wondering what the trade value might be for my 14 MR.
Last time I looked, KBB didn't provide one.

I bought it new last year, now with 15.4 k miles.
No mods, no accident, clean and good to excellent condition.

Replaced tires w/ A/S few months ago.
I got a quote from Carmax and thought was fair at $31k...

Any advise?

I guess that's about right. One year trade you take a large hit though.

Kbb has the trade in value now.

Now way can you expect that price at dealers though. You can probably expect around black book.

33k for trade in and 35k for private sale... for "very good" condition, per KBB.

Now, I'm feeling short changed by their offer!
Evo X retains higher value!!!

If anyone wants to check out my car for sale in Maryland...

Carmax usually does lowball trades. They get cars because it's convenient for the seller.

This.

They steal on trades and visit the auctions frequently.

Sadly, that is right on par with trade in value, I know it sucks.

Man **** carmax. Anytime I've gone there with GOOD cars they are complete jokes and waste my time.

Just sell it independently these things sell easily especially stock. A 14 will be a bit tougher, but then again maybe not if you advertise it right and stress this is the LAST year for the factory equipped Recaros.

Good luck, wish you could keep it though I love this car.

P.S. If Carmax offered you 31 you could probably get closer to 40 for it lol.

Carmax offers people dealer wholesale, which is basically the lowest tier. I had people crumple up the offer sheet and throw it in my face. They are absolutely banking on people's desperation. Even in the commercials, they advertise themselves as the trouble-free solution. They are very thorough and picky about the cars they sell, but you pay more for that too. I would never take a used car to them unless I had a loan shark after me.

What planet are you on? depending on the trim level, it won't be anywhere CLOSE to that on a used MR. Hell a base 14 MR was 38k brand new.

37k for a 08 MR, used?
