Just thought id share. No problem getting it replaced under warranty. But the service manager was floored and said earliest he has ever seen for the pump to fail. Not even 10k and only about 2 months of winter since I got her.

 

Earliest I've ever heard as well.

I love warranties.

 

The pump on my wife's Ralliart failed at 36,000mi at year 4. I replaced it myself just before the warranty extension (Mitsu paid me back tho!) and it doesn't look like they've improved the design at all so I put a nice bead of Ultra Grey around the housing joints. If the pump manufacturer had just o-ringed the assembly points, I don't think we'd be seeing these failures.

 

same here - failed at 31k at 5 years.

sprayed new pump with zinc galvanized coating before dealer installed it, and made my own custom pump cover from a $5 rubber floormat.

happened right before warranty extension, but got reimbursed by Mitsubishi.

 

so are these things getting replaced with the same exact set up that will fail quickly again?

 

I am planning on putting por-15 on it, would that ruin it? Also for us modified guys, is there issues getting warrantied? I love that they extended it.
